BWPDA
The British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association, founded in 1929, has now established separate associations for its members working in the property care sector.
Through the Property Care Association (PCA), it is committed to improving the standard of workmanship available, through membership training, examinations and the creation of good audited practice guidelines.
This is the largest association of its kind in Europe and its members are nationally recognised experts on timber and damp problems. In many cases Architects insist on using BWPDA members who can also offer Guaranteed Protection insurance.
The BWPDA sets high standards for their members in technical competence, health, safety and environmental protection and customer service. Members provide answers to a wide range of problems.
The BWPDA provides a mediation and arbitration service and disciplines members involved in unresolved complaints.
